Amalie Lorentzen (me) is a Los Angeles based writer. I was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark and moved to LA when I was 19 on my own.

I write both novels and screenplays (shorts, pilots, features), so far I don’t have a preference, but predominantly I write within the thriller/horror genre.

I currently work in Post-Production in Television and have worked in TV and film for about a decade (since I moved here).

In 2023 I wrote a short called “The Weeping Willows”, that did fairly well in festivals and competitions.

I’ve recently finished my second novel, ‘One of them’ and am looking for representation.
